Research in the Li lab intersects in the forefront of analytical chemistry, biology, pathology, epidemiology, and medicine. Current research efforts in our lab focus on biomarkers for (i) diagnosis and prognosis of Alzheimer's disease, (ii) advancing precision medicine in the context of treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, and (iii) understanding aging phenotypes. Our research is both hypothesis-generating and hypothesis-driven. Although we use mostly human biological samples, we are interested in using cell and animal models to further explore the biological implications of our research findings.
